Flowers & #SundaySupper

I had a pretty great weekend :)

We did some crafts, ate some nice food, and fed a few ducks by the lake.

But what really has a smile on my face is the lovely new flowers I got at the market this weekend!

The Sunday Brisbane market is the "discovery" market which is code for the Trash-n-Treasure market. We love exploring the trash-and-treasure markets. Sometimes you can find some really cool, unique items. We are always looking for decor inspiration. A few weekends ago we found a really lovely carved wooden clock that is currently in our bedroom!

Nothing really sparked our interest this weekend, however, a part from the food and the flowers...

I got a bouquet of some lovely cream flowers for $10 and the hubs got 3 forearm length gourmet sausages for $10. So we both left feeling very content.

Flowers are always pretty reasonably priced at the market but if you want that sausage deal you need to come close to closing time. That's when you get the best deals at the food stalls.

I found this lovely glass pitcher at a trash-n-treasure sale. It has beautiful flowers and vines designed into the glass. I love using pretty pitchers like this as a flower vase. It gives a very homely-country feel to the kitchen.

For our Sunday supper we grilled up a nice pork roast and veggies. Doesn't get much better than a slow cooked pork roast with extra crunchy crackling...

On a sadder note this weekend we also killed a lizard... My partner tried to console me.

Hubs: It's the circle of life , you know, like the Lion King. That dead lizard will feed some other animal that lives off of road kill.

Me: There was no Holden Cruze SRI in the Lion King...
