Rooftop bars seem to be popping up everywhere around Brisbane. I mean what's not to like about rooftop bars?!

Stunning views....nice breezes...the perfect setting to enjoy a martini or two as you welcome the weekend!

Up On Constance is located on the rooftop of the Tryp Hotel which is also home to the incredibly popular Chur Burger Brisbane. Take a short ride on the Willy Wonka -esq glass elevator and prepare to be transported to a magical place...

Up on Constance is the epitome of style and sophistication. It features a very clean, open layout with plenty pops of colour to liven it up! When the sun sets it transforms into a mesmerizing place, with the glittery lights of the suburb that never sleeps surrounding it...

We could instantly imagine ourselves toasting to the weekend with a glass of champers, and a group of close friends. It's no surprise Up On Constance has made a name for itself as a popular watering hole in Brisbane. But for these two foodies....the menu at Up On Constance is the real star.

The dishes at Up are truly inspired. The skilled head chef utilizes the freshest ingredients to create mouthwatering works of art on a plate, full of color and beautiful textures!

We Want "More More" Motto Motto | Westfield Garden City

It's no secret that we are infatuated with new Garden City restaurant Motto Motto.

In fact! We recently featured their delicious Teri Teri Chicken Roll in our #GardenCityDego menu! After being invited to the official launch a month ago we anxiously awaited our next opportunity to visit. Lucky for us it didn't take long! A group of food blogger friends were looking for a new, affordable restaurant for a casual catch up and we were quick to suggest Motto Motto.

Motto Motto is William Liu's, owner of Sono and Nagomi, newest project. After mastering the world of Japanese fine dining Liu became inspired to use his experience to cater to a new market - takeaway food!

And so, Motto Motto was born! An incredibly innovative restaurant offering guests quality Japanese cuisine in a relaxed, casual setting. Think of Motto Motto as Sono's baby brother. The menu is diverse and packed full of flavour. It features traditional Japanese rice bowls, noodles, rolls, and mouthwatering side dishes. There is something for everyone at Motto Motto. After our two visits we have managed to try pretty much everything on the menu and it was all delicious and expertly prepared.

Some highlights from the menu would be the: Chicken Karage, Chips with Seaweed & Salt, Waygu Roll, and the Seared Salmon and Avocado bowl.

Motto Motto has been a HIT with Garden City shoppers and.... Liu divulged to us that he has plans to open more Motto Motto's around Brisbane! Brisbanite's rejoice!

Good Vibes and a Killer Menu: Red Hook | Brisbane CBD

Every now and then we come across a menu that completely stops us in our tracks....

A menu so epic that we have NO CLUE what to order. This is exactly how we felt when we paid Red Hook a visit a few weeks ago. When the waiter came around to our table we were tempted to say, "I'll have 1 of everything".

This New York street food inspired hole in the wall has created quite the stir around town since it's opening last year. Every foodie in Brisbane was desperate to get their hands on the coveted lobster roll. Although we unfortunately missed out on their mouthwatering lobster roll by a few weeks... the rest of the Red Hook menu didn't disappoint!

Red Hook is brought to you by, Bonnie Shearston and Tom Sanceau, the duo behind Public and Coppa Spuntino. Some of the highlights of the Red Hook menu are: buffalo wings, hand cut fries, duck tacos, mac n cheese square, fried pickles, and the best cheeseburgers you've ever had in your life! Oh man, all we can say is thank God for this place...

If that wasn't enough to tempt you Red Hook also has a very cool special running on Wednesdays...

Doughnuts Are The New Black! Doughnut Time | Fortitude Valley

If you've been tuned into social media lately then you know Brisbane has gone absolutely MAD for doughnuts!

Doughnut Time to be more specific...

Doughnut Time is the newest venture for Damian Griffith, the foodie extradinair who brought us Alfred & Constance, Kwan Bros, and Chester Street Bakery. This new doughnut shop may be a 'hole in the wall' but it's certainly making a BIG impact on the food scene here in Brisbane. Doughnuts are IN and cronuts are so last season...

The menu at Doughnut Time is truly inspired...boasting flavours like Creme Brulee, Oreo, Nutella, Salted Caramel, and Maple Bacon. It's enough to make any foodie's heart skip a beat.

We were lucky enough to be taken on a behind the scenes tour of Doughnut Time HQ aka Chester Street Bakery where they are made fresh daily.

The Doughnut Time team can crank out around 30 of the giant doughnuts at one time so you can imagine how hectic the kitchen gets with the demand these doughnuts have created around town.

When their doors opened in February the lines were incredible. You would be forgiven for thinking 1D tickets were on sale...

Have you jumped on the bandwagon yet? There's no need to fight it. These doughnuts have earned every bit of the hype they have created.
