We've been counting down the days since 2015 started, and FINALLY it's almost here....

Eat Local Week is upon us! That's right foodie friends it's time to indulge in all things Scenic Rim.

Beautiful wines....fresh produce...and breathtaking scenery. Eat Local Week is all about showcasing the incredible people who produce food & wine in the Scenic Rim. It's about raising awareness around the amazing, quality produce that's available at our doorstep...in the hopes that instead of putting more money in hands of the big supermarkets we will support our small local farmers! 

This year's program is JAM PACKED with exciting events, and experiences you will only find in this stunning region. From farm tours, degustations, cooking schools, and more.... you'll wish you had time to do it all! The week's events culminate in the Winter Harvest Festival, a celebration of food, wine and farming, that takes place on Saturday July 4.

Farm Gate Festival in The Lost World

The Lost World plays host to its second annual Farm Gate Festival. This is your chance to enter the Farm Gate; try, buy, learn, taste and explore everything on offer, including a dairy tour at Crebra Farmhouse, a Farm to Fork experience at Tommerup’s Dairy Farm, food from the Wild Lime Cafe and much more. Make your way out to the Lost World and join the celebration of food, art, environment and activity in spectacular scenery

Tommerup’s Farm to Fork Tour

Meet the Tommerups, a sixth generation farming family. Hand feed the animals, enjoy a farmer’s brunch featuring Tommerup’s own gourmet sausages, bacon, eggs and delicious White Gold Creamery artisan cheese, made from the Tommerup’s milk. Take a hamper home, full of Tommerup’s ethically-raised meat products, eggs and produce.
Entry is $22 for adults and $15 for children and includes animal feeding and the farmer’s brunch.

Scenic Rim Degustation Dinner Harrisville

This is Eat Local Week’s signature event. The Winter Harvest Festival is an authentic food festival that serves up the Scenic Rim on a platter.
Meet the farmers, taste the food, buy their produce.
An exciting day out for the entire family, featuring market stalls, tasting plates, live music, celebrity chefs, cooking demonstrations, kids activities and the Kalbar & District Community Bank Tractor Pulling Competition. Buy tickets online via this website or at the Box Office at the Boonah & Beaudesert Cultural Centres. Some tickets also available on the day at the gate.
