Warm, rich dark chocolate sauce....juicy, red strawberries....coconut flakes....toasted walnuts....sweet whipped cream....

Chocolate Drizzled Honey Puffs by Zeus Street Greek

Just when you thought honey puffs couldn't get any more amazing...Zues went and covered them in warm hazlenut chocolate and crushed walnuts!!! These are so damn good it would almost be a crime if you didn't try them.

Doughnuts by Donut Boyz

Brisbane basically runs on doughnuts fuel nowadays. Everyone is mad about them. The new kid on the block, Donut Boyz, is serving up some of the best (and most affordable) deep fried rings in town! Can't Beat A Classic | Top 5 Best Eggs Benedicts in Brisbane

We are not afraid to admit it. We are eggs benny addicts. No matter how hard we try, we seriously struggle to order anything else when we spot this classic breakfast dish on a menu. Something something about smooth, creamy hollandaise sauce....freshly toasted bread....greasy bacon...and perfectly poached eggs makes our foodie hearts flutter!

I mean trying new things is great and all...but I don't want to look back and think "I could have had Eggs Benny"

Right?? If you can relate to our struggle then you are definitely going to enjoy this list. From one eggs benny lover to another... here are 5 eggs benny you should put at the top of your MUST EAT list.

CHARMING SQUIRE

Eggs Benny with wilted spinach, creamy hollandaise, and hot smoked salmon on a TOASTED FLAKY CROISSANT....is there any question why this is at the top of our list? So much YES! Well played Charming Squire, well played.

SUBURBAN CAFE

Eggs Benedict AND a potato hash. We never say no to free sides, especially when those sides can be used to mop up that delicious, creamy hollandaise sauce.

THE LAZY DOG CAFE

In our eyes, Lazy Dog can do no wrong. We haven't come across a breakfast dish on their menu that we didn't like. The eggs benny is undoubtedly our favorite. The hollandaise sauce is beautiful, with the perfect amount of lemon and don't even get me started on that crispy bacon...

DEEDOT COFFEE HOUSE

Popular Holland Park West cafe, Deedot Coffee House knows breakfast. Turkish bread toasted with baby spinach, poached eggs, creamy hollandaise, with bacon and garlic mushrooms!! Heaven on a wooden platter.

LITTLE SISTA CAFE

Little Sista Cafe has some of THE BEST hollandaise in Brisbane. You'll seriously struggle to find better hollandaise (we've tried). I don't know what their secret formula is...but it always keeps us coming back for more. Don't believe us, try it for yourself! You'll be hooked.

Honorable Mention:

WILLOW & SPOON

So you want to hear the good news or the bad news?

Good news: The Southern Fried Chicken Eggs Benny with Avocado Salsa and Honey Mustard Hollandaise ROCKED OUR WORLD. This is a serious contender for one of the best dishes we have ever devoured. After we finished this masterpiece we knew we had to immediately amend our top benny list to include it. It wouldn't be 100% accurate if we didn't.

Bad news: It was only a weekend special...I KNOW, I feel bad for you. All I can say is head to the @willowandspoon Instagram and voice your concerns to them. We are strong believers of people power!

Fine Wine & Local Produce | Pig's Ear Opens in Indooroopilly

Pig N Whistle Indooroopilly restaurant recently underwent a MASSIVE transformation.

When the dust finally settled, 2 brand spankin' new restaurants emerged...and one of those restaurants is Pig's Ear Wine & Grill! Pig's Ear is managed and owned by Brisbane's largest and longest running food & beverage operators, The Mantle Group. We were lucky enough to dine here recently for our 21st @EatBrisbane instameet.

Indooroopilly's newest food destination is all about fines wines, fresh local produce, and superior service! The exquisitely designed new restaurant seats about 260 people, with a very generous section available for private functions. It also boasts a temperature controlled wine cellar capable of holding 2,500 bottles (enough to make any decent wino extremely envious!) It's a beautiful sight to behold!

Head Chef Deniz Coskun is passionate about creating a quality and unique experience for diners. You'll find some not so typical cuts of meat on the menu at Pig's Ear like the Texas Denver Steak, which is marinated for 24 hours, and slow cooked for 10!

Pig's Ear is a welcome addition the Indooroopilly SC! For more information on Pig's Ear Wine & Grill head to their website, Here.

SWEET ESCAPE

Entrees are a respectable course in the full dining experience; mains are even better; but dessert … now you’re talking!
There is nothing quite like a sweet treat to finish a feast and send the tastebuds tumbling over into pleasure territory, especially when ‘said treat’ is washed down with a perfectly barista-brewed coffee. We speak for most of you then, when we state that dessert is not a mere afterthought in the dining show. Oh no. Dessert has a starring role!
That’s why we’ve dedicated a whole space to this perennially popular course. Sweet Escape at Regional Flavours will be serving up gourmet cupcakes; delectable donuts; nitrogen treated ice-cream; high tea; famed Zumbarons; and steamy hot coffees all weekend long.
To sweeten the experience the space will also feature a number of informative demonstrations by Master Patissier Adriano Zumbo; and Lola Berry, colourful and passionate nutritionist and author just to name a few; as well as live music by local musicians. So if, like us, you always have room for dessert, pop along to Sweet Escape where you can enjoy it as any course.
