St. James Crabhouse & Kitchen | Kangaroo Point

Brisbane's first and ONLY American style crab house now calls Kangaroo Point home and we of course, had to pay them a visit.

Brisbane lawyer, Gideon James, opened St. James Crabhouse back in April, blessing the river city with it's own crustacean oasis! The idea to open the restaurant came to him when he saw a need for a good casual seafood restaurant in Brisbane.

Prepare to get down and dirty because St James stays true to the American style. Crabs are presented in plastic bags and you are welcome to leave your empty shells on the table. Guests are also fitted with a bib and gloves before they chow down, and trust us you'll need them...

The menu at St James features a mouthwatering seafood selection of fresh king crab, snow crab, blue swimmers, Jonah claws, Moreton bay bugs, prawns, and more! Each come with your choice of marinade like Baltimore Old Bay or the extremely popular Singaporean Chili.

Seafood isn't the only thing getting our foodie hearts racing on the St. James menu! You'll also find a tasty selection of American style burgers and ribs.

St James Crabhouse is open Mon to Wed (12pm- 10pm) & Thu to Sun (12pm-11pm)
