Brisbane's Most Foodie Friendly Hotels

Do you choose your hotels with your stomach? We do!

A nice view is great but there's nothing better than the feeling you get knowing a quality dining experience is only an elevator ride away! Ditch those late night walks back to your hotel with an uncomfortably full belly. At the hotels listed below you can go from your dinner table to your big, comfy bed in less than 60 seconds.

Rydges | Southbank

The holiday is the perfect time to treat yourself and a stay at Rydges South bank is just that...a treat...a luxurious treat! Having just received a major renovation the rooms are looking as stylish as stylish and inviting as ever.

Along with having a central location in the heart of Brisbane's bustling foodie precinct, South bank, Rydges also is home to one of the river city's best and most iconic restaurants, Bacchus. Treat yourself to a relaxing degustation, followed by a stroll through the parklands...and a few cheeky after dinner drinks at Manhattan Line. Top the night off with a snooze in one of their plush king beds. A staycation at Rydges is just what the doctor ordered!

TRYP Hotel | Fortitude Valley

Looking for a crash pad, with good eats in the middle of all the action. TRYP hotel located in Brisbane's entertainment precinct is a great option. TRYP hotel has to be one of the coolest hotels in Brisbane. Each floor is dedicated to a well known street artists and features murals from the artist themselves. We aren't just talking about a art in a frame...we're talking walls. It's a beautiful site to behold. If you have some spare cash upgrade your room to the Outdoor Spa room. It features a balcony with your private jacuzzi, lounge area and flat screen tv. Kick back with a beer in the jacuzzi and watch the game...

The real seller for us can be summed up in four words: CHUR. BURGER. ROOM. SERVICE.

Mantra on Mary | CBD

Well keep this one brief. Mantra on Mary may not be one of the flashiests hotels in Brisbane but it is great value for money. The apartments are sizeable, cheap, and have a fully equip kitchen! There is no restaurant on site but most rooms do come with complimentary breakfast which is an al a carte menu at 127 Bar & Bistro!

The real star of the show is Miel Container which is located right next door! No need to wait around for a table, just grab your burger to go and enjoy it on the balcony of your apartment.

Sofitel Brisbane Central | CBD

Let's end things on a elegant note shall we? If you are after a romantic, parisian-esq, foodie rendezvous then look no further than Sofitel Brisbane. Prepare your senses for a night of pure indulgence. Kick things off which lunch at what is possibly one of Brisbane's best buffets, Thyme 2.

Think tons of fresh seafood, chocolate fountains, desserts as far as the eye can see and did we mention there's a WINE BUFFET?

Cap off your night with a dinner experience in the intimate, Prive 249. The inspired degustation menu paired with the decadent wine list will have you feeling like royalty.

Brisbane's First Gnoccheria Is Now Open!

The momentous day has arrived!

Brisbane's first and only gnoccheria has now opened it's doors in Paddington. We can hear those delicious carbs calling our name...

Gnocchi Gnocchi Brothers located at 210 Given Terrace in Paddington is perhaps one of the most exciting restaurant openings of 2016 in our humble opinion....

The mouthwatering menu features a selction of rich gnocchi dishes like Wild Mushroom & Truffle and Traditional Bolognese. Best part? All the gnocchi is handmade and extremely fresh. The positive reviews have been rolling in since the gnoccheria opened yesterday so do your tastebuds a favour and try it for yourself this weekend!

Where To Find Brisbane's Best Tacos

Tacos are the answer to pretty much any problem a person could possibly have....

Having a bad day? Tacos.

Break up with your cheating scum boyfriend? Tacos.

One disappointment away from strangling your boss? Tacos.

Tacos are always there when you need them. They don't judge. So to save you the time you could be using to indulge in a bit of Mexican food therapy we have rounded up the best tacos Brisbane has to offer.

Mucho Mexicano | South bank & Milton

These are hands down our favorite tacos in Brisbane. Always fresh and loaded to perfection- a visit to Mucho never ends in disappointment. But the highlight of their delicious menu would have to be the "Mother of all Tacos". Never heard of it? Allow me to educate you... the mother of all tacos is comprised of a platter of slow cooked brisket, crispy skinned pork belly or chargrilled pork accompanied by warm tortillas, salsa fresca, guac, and sour cream. Gather your mates and order a couple platters, and prepare for one epic food coma.

Communa Cantina | Queen Street Mall

Located in Albert Lane of the Queen Street mall Communa Cantina is the perfect taco pit stop while you take care of all your Christmas shopping. You'll find authentic eats from south of the border and killer cocktails at this lively Brisbane restaurant.

Beach Burrito Co | Fortitude Valley

Tummy rumbling after a night out in the valley. Head to Beach Burrito Co for all your hangover needs. Nothing quite soaks up those tequila shots like a big, juicy burrito!

Red Hook | Brisbane CBD

I know what you're thinking...Red Hook...isn't that a burger joint. You'd be correct. It is a burger joint but it also happens to have a few bad ass tacos on the menu. Try it for yourself and thank us later.

Guzman Y Gomez | Everywhere

For those days where you can't get to the locations we've listed above or your simply don't have the cash- GYG is a solid option. Located in almost every shopping centre in town, GYG serves up reliably delicious fresh Mexican eats.
